London is made up of 33 separate boroughs, Greater 20, 13 Inner London, 14 in some classifications. The Inner London boroughs are Camden, Greenwich, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth, the City of Woodside Park, and the City of London. The 20 boroughs of Outer London are Barking and Dagenham, Barnet, Bexley, Brent, Bromley, Croydon, Ealing, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Newham, Redbridge, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton, and Waltham Forest.
The City of London covers an area of 1.2 square miles (3.2 square km) at the heart of Greater London.
The South East region creates an arc shape around London from Kent at the South East extremity along the coastline to Hampshire in the south West, and then to Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire in the North. In total the southeast region covers 19 counties and unitary authorities. No single dominant urban centre, the region is home to 7 large UK cities with populations over 100.000. The area known as the 'Thames and Solent' Region covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, London and Oxfordshire.
