Newark Air Museum - located on part of the former World War Two airfield of Winthorpe in eastern Nottinghamshire. The website gives a taste of what the museum has to offer. A diverse collection of aircraft and cockpit sections covers the history of aviation, the aircraft on display include 10 National Benchmark aircraft; 29 Significant aircraft and 18 Noteworthy aircraft as listed in the National Aviation Heritage Register. Nearly two thirds of the exhibits are now displayed inside.

Newark Jazz Festival - was launched in 2006 by Newark business people Paul Sparks of Sparks Marketing and Peter Duncan of The Corrieneuchin Comany along with Newark-based jazz musicians Andrew Hall and Nathan Bray.

Palace Theatre - in Neward for everything on stage, on screen, stand-up comedy and pantomime. The Palace Theatre opened on 5 July 1920 and was constructed by a local business woman Emily Blagg, who was also Clerk of Works, Quantity Surveyor and supplier of bricks on the site of the Chauntry House, a former Queen Anne residence. Today the Palace is still the place to go for entertainment in the town.

The Robin Hood Theatre - is a small public theatre seating 150, situated in the village of Averham 3.4 miles from Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire. It has a reputation for a high standard of live entertainment that stretches far and wide. The theatre is home to The Robin Hood Theatre Company which presents five, week-long productions each year.

Rufford Craft Centre - the Gallery has acquired an international reputation for its varied programme of exhibitions and events. The Ceramic Centre was opened in 1998 and has a collection of British studio pottery, a research facility, a library, a retail area and a studio complete with a residency programme.

The Vina Cooke Museum - houses a large collection of dolls dating from the 18th century to the present day. The collection is brought together in a late 17th century Dower house and former Rectory, which is itself of considerable interest.
