Athlete with the first album by Athlete knocking our socks off the second was not bad either! "Vehicles and Animals" was released in 2003 being and was the first introduction we had to a band that now are a house hold name especially since the release of the second album "Tourist" in 2005 featuring the well known tune "Wires". Four band members make up Athlete as we know them, a fave tune that the lads have released of ours is "You Got the Style". Athlete are here to stay and its not a surprise as the music the produce, make and perform has its own style and range that will influence many other bands in years to come. Funky, Medlodic, Lyrical and Meaningful... If you have anything to add please get in touch.

Boy Kill Boy rule, what a band from the looks of the first album "Civilian" this band will be around for the duration. Some bands you can say that's it and you just will not see them ever acheive the leves they have again but with a band like BKB thse boys know exactly what instrument is supposed to do. The lead singer Chris has an amazing voice and rules, that word again but what more can you say when a band like this comes along?!! You think to yourself how do they do it, well they have "Civilian" by "BKB", turn up the music and "Who am I? Only, One more life that you can owe me, It's civilised, it's civilised, it's civil sin" a totally bangin tune 10/10! out of 9 we just don't know how they do it!

Captain are five people Rik Flynn, Clare Szembek, Reuben, Alex & Mario that all blend together perfectly. Two lead singers I'll say one man being Rik and the lady of Captain Clare whos voices both are strong that work well and compliment each others, the boy girl harmony is a treat. You'll hear more of Captain we imagine by the time the second album hits home, some bands just don't get the recognition they deserve from the off until every TV & radio station realises they have missed something, a little like Snow Patrol and Athlete for starters. The first album "This is Hazelville" is a chip off the old block, the mixing of sounds, guitars, drums, male, female vocals, symbols are great. The first tune is called "This is Hazelville" should convince you long enough to let it play

Dido some things just stay with you forever and in the case of Dido I'll own up for this one, you see I don't really know what it is, maybe becuase I'm a man I should not love Dido like I do, but I do, do, do. The fact is I love her first two albums without questions asked of myself but anyone reading this could be asking questions of me right now many of the bands listed here on MySpace @ Superweb are tops but Dido again is different and that's why she is getting a listing. for those with the bows and arrows out my "White Flag" is out! In 200 "No Angel" arrived with the 2nd installment "Life for Rent" in 2003, where is Dido? At the time of writing this in Autumn 2006 Dido has produced no new material since "Life for Rent" and is currently in the states writing songs we are informed... I wonder if that's it for Dido, will there be a 3rd chapter??? The first two will be hard to top but I somehow don't quite think her book is complete just yet? Do you?

Editors the debut album showed off a band that meant business, serious songs, serious lyrcis, serious guitar and rolling rifts. A complete without question understanding of how to deliver an album that does not get lost on tangents, a real professional outfit. "The Back Room" is the debut album from the band is a blend of ups and downs from fast high tempo tunes to slower lyrical tunes that grab you and trun you on your head on rollercoaster ride of 11 tunes. "Munich" was the most popular song as many will know yet they still have more in reserve just to grab you later, "All Sparks, Fingers in the Factories & Blood" totally rocking. From Birmingham in the West Midlands the band have had an amazing 2006 scooping A Mercury Prize Award for Album of the Year.

Embrace When it comes to Embrace we think they just get better as each album is released, the production gets tighter, the intensity of the music delivered more powerful than before. The latest offering "This New Day" we are of the opinion is Embrace's best album to date, each and every tune is a hit with no weakness. If the band can take forward what were saying here the next album will firmly put Embrace on a global map and in history forever. Earlier albums "Drawn from Memory" and "Out of Nothing" are both very very good albums but the latest offering we feel the band find more strength.

Feeder Rolling crescendo of instrumental geniuses, idyllic and effortless it sounds. Feeder many of us know best for the tune “It’s just the way I’m Feeling” their biggest hit to date. It sure captured me and I’ve followed them ever since “Comfort in Sound” and “Pushing the Senses” both lovely albums a little hard in places but more so melodies, flowing tunes entwined with piercing lyrics. If you have not yet found love in your heart for Feeder… now is the time.

Green Day From the same generation as myself 30 something’s and yet all the young ones love them to, Green Day standing strong with political challenging worldly lyrics. Stand up and be counted as one of Green Day’s fans! Hard, Fast Furious… two fast 2 furious, I don’t think so. Bullet in Gun, Bullet in a bible the live album from Milton Keynes is just fantastic.

Morning Runner The is the first album “Wilderness is Paradise Now” from Morning Runner is amazing with some real killer tracks, these guys can play. Panic! At the Disco Stop, stop and make a name for yourself… Panic at The Disco surely have with their first album offering. Lyrical geniuses without a doubt, fast tempo – up tempo lyrics served up instrumental wizardry. A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out is a fantastic album that should find its place it the top 50 albums over the past 24 months. Still unique, new , different and very individual they stand out in arena of their own.

The Hair hooker, hooker, hooker, roll on The Hair totally tops and real nice fellas as well. Caught them in York and loved them right from the off! For those that wonder what I'm going on about when I say "Hooker" its my fave tune although every tune I have heard to date has appeal. Ever seen a gorjus woman knocking around with ugly guy!!! Then this is the tune for that moment. A band for now and tomorrow, Hair to Stay!!!!

Union of Knives Awesome band on relentless records, caught them recently in Leeds and Cambridge and they just grow on me, the bass guitarists is on fire, the drummer rolls in, kicks out. What makes these guys different apart from their deep sound is they appear to have two lead singers that both bring together this crashing smashing four piece. Love these lot, top outfit "Evil Has Never" what a track. 20Nov06
