Carlyle's House - the Chelsea home of the Victorian historian and writer Thomas Carlyle known as 'The Sage of Chelsea'. The house contains original furnishings, books, pictures and personal items of Thomas Carlyle and his wife Jane, and vividly depicts their lives. The small walled Victorian garden is also open to visitors.

Florence Nightingale Museum - celebrates the excellent contribution to nursing of Florence Nightingale, the “Lady with the Lamp” of the Crimean War, her subsequent work on public health reform, the development of nurse training and education; it also tells the story of illustrious nurses, district nurses, midwives and health visitors, notably Mary Seacole.

Leighton House Museum - was the home of Frederic, Lord Leighton (1830 - 1896) and one of the most remarkable buildings of the 19th century. Built to designs by George Aitchison, the house was extended and embellished over the next 30 years to create a private palace of art. The Arab Hall houses Leighton's priceless collection of over 1,000 Syrian tiles and important works by Leighton and his contemporaries are on display.

Linley Sambourne House - 18 Stafford Terrace is a unique example of a late Victorian townhouse. Home to the cartoonist Edward Linley Sambourne and his family from 1874, it survives with almost all of its furniture and fittings intact.

Science Museum - was founded in 1857 under Bennet Woodcroft from the collection of the Royal Society of Arts and surplus items from the Great Exhibition. The museum holds a collection of over 300,000 items, including such famous items as Stephenson's Rocket, Puffing Billy (the oldest surviving steam locomotive), the first jet engine and so much more.

The Victoria and Albert Museum - often abbreviated as the V&A in London is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. Named after Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, it was founded in 1852, and has since grown to now cover some 12.5 acres and 145 galleries. Its collection spans 5000 years of art.
