Yorkshire & The Humber Region - the official region consists of the following subdivisions, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, part of North Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire and part of Lincolnshire. It was originally called Yorkshire and Humberside, and defined as North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Humberside. Since then, Humberside has been abolished, and the councils of West and South Yorkshire abolished. Humberside is still occasionally used.
