National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) Founded in 1971 the Trust is now one of the top 10 animal rescue and re-homing charities in England, and runs 5 rescue & re-homing centres across the country. The centres are located in Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Essex, Somerset and Cornwall. The Trust is a non-political and non-campaigning organisation, it simply concerns itself with looking after some of life's casualties. It receives no money from the government and relies entirely on voluntary contributions to carry out its work. |

RSPB The Royal Society for Protection of Birds, for birds, for people, for ever. UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and other wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all. The charity works for the conservation of wild birds, other wildlife and the places in which they live in a wide variety of ways. |

RSPCA The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The charities vision is to work for a world in which all humans respect and live in harmony with all other members of the animal kingdom. The charities mission is to by all lawful means, prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of animals. |

WWF The World Wildlife Fund. The charity works on both global and local environmental issues. Much of its work is in areas where the most critically endangered wildlife and the least protected habitats are found. However, the origins of many environmental problems lie in developed countries, including the UK. |
